How to Initiate a Request for Facilities Services

Anyone with a valid Tufts email address should initiate a request for service via our online system. We are no longer using paper forms. Click here to review the paperless process.

Time sensitive or emergency requests should be reported via telephone:

If your service request is outside the scope of our general services, it will be necessary for you to submit your request online and include your Dept.ID before the work can  begin. Example charges are for overtime expenses, material purchases and the use of external vendors.

General No Fee Maintenance

Basic custodial services. Exterior painting of all buildings and interior painting of public and common areas. Building repairs.  Maintenance of building life-safety and security alarm systems, and systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and lighting. Pest control.  Care of trees and shrubbery, lawns, sidewalks, streets and parking lots. Recycling, including electronics recycling. Snow removal, sidewalk sanding and salting. Maintenance and repair of all door locks. Estimates for minor carpentry work.

Fee Based Services

Installation, service and repair of certain departmental or laboratory equipment. Off-site storage. Furniture installation. Renovations required for departmental program changes not requiring a CEA. Installation of additional electrical outlets or lights. Non-common area painting and carpeting and painting beyond the planned maintenance cycle. Cleaning services for some events.
