Medford Campus: Incoming packages

Package(s) may begin arriving at Tufts University on 8/1/16 for the Fall semester. When addressing your Package to your hall (not for small houses – see special note below), the information should be displayed as follows: Full Name; Room Number and Residence Hall; Tufts University; c/o 389 Boston Ave.; Medford, MA 02155. Please avoid sending packages heavier than 70 lbs. Also, please avoid sending perishables during the beginning of the year rush. Also, if you are not available to pick up perishable packages in a timely manner during the remainder of the year, please do not have them sent due to possible spoiling. When you do send perishables, please include your phone number on the package so that you can be contacted. *Special Note – when you are addressing your package to a small house, you should address the package as follows: Full Name; c/o 389 Boston Ave.; Medford, MA 02155. This will ensure that your package arrives on campus and an e-mail will be sent to you upon its arrival so that you can pick up your package at Mail Services.

Medford Campus: Outgoing packages

Prepaid packages being picked up by carriers (UPS, FedEx) must be brought to Hill Hall. For security reasons, non-university persons are not allowed into residence halls.

Beginning of Fall Semester: Medford Campus

A van and driver are available on a first come first served basis, to assist you in taking your large packages to the front of your residence hall. After 10/3/16, for any large packages, we will try to arrange to transport you and your package to your residence hall as our schedule allows.

We encourage you to use UPS for packages because they are tracked. We suggest you send your essentials first, followed by your non-essentials later in the month. Please avoid sending packages heavier than 70 lbs. and avoid sending perishables during the beginning of the year rush. If you are not available to pick up perishable packages in a timely manner during the remainder of the year, please do not have them sent due to possible spoiling. When you do send perishables, please include your phone number on the package so that you may be contacted upon its arrival.

Once you have arrived on campus, you will be notified via e-mail that a package has arrived. To pick up your package, bring your Student I.D.

Matriculation Day Service for the Medford Campus

On Matriculation Day (8/31/16), students may come to pick up packages between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at Mail Services in the Hill Hall Basement, 389 Boston Avenue, next to Dowling Hall (the parking garage.)

Returning Undergraduate Service for the Medford Campus

On Saturday (9/3/16) and Sunday (9/4/16), Mail Services will be open for package service between 9 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

*Special Note – on Saturday, 8/27/16 and on Sunday, 8/28/16 (for “Early Arrivals”), Mail Services will be open for package service between 9 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
