Tufts composts at a variety of special events on campus year-round where large amounts of food waste is produced. Some of the events include Matriculation, Commencement, Fletcher School Orientation, Graduate School Orientation, Fall Gala, Community Day, Homecoming, International Center Thanksgiving, the Tufts Energy Conference, and the President’s Picnic.
To achieve our goal of zero waste at Tufts, it is crucial that we compost whenever possible. Are you having an event on campus and looking to manage your waste effectively and sustainably? The Facilities Services Recycling team is here to help. We assist with the largest events on campus, while smaller events are managed internally by following our guidelines.
