Custodian education is a vital part of the Facilities Services Recycling program. Custodians are responsible for collecting all the recycling from campus buildings, so it is important that they are well-informed about university recycling efforts.

Each year, the Supervisor, Facilities Services; Campus Services meets with all of the custodians on each campus to talk about recycling. In these annual education sessions they discuss why recycling is important, the role that the custodians play in the process, how and when to collect recycling, and what to do if various problems arise. All of the educational material is in Spanish as well as in English.
