Perhaps one of the more exciting projects scheduled for the summer of 2018, Stratton Hall will undergo a noticeable transformation. Following a 2-summer exterior renewal project, the focus now turns to Stratton’s interiors. The garden level, previously unoccupied, will be fully gutted and renovated to create 10 new student rooms, accommodate 20 students. A side entry will be created to allow accessible entry to the new space, which will also include a social space and a wheelchair lift to convey between the basement and the first floor. On floors 1-3, the lounges and bathrooms will undergo a full renovation to improve the function and design of these vital common areas. The finished product will honor the historical fabric of the building, while introducting some more modern elements. Student rooms will receive new furniture and electronic door locks for enhanced security.
