Facilities Services celebrated another fantastic year of service on December 17, 2015 at 51 Winthrop Street. Employees of Facilities Services including Grounds, Grounds Support, and Trades were present, as well as the other departments within the Operations Division (Mail Services, Dining Services, Public and Environmental Safety, and Operations IT).
The party was catered by Tufts Catering and featured a barbeque-themed menu and a clam chowder station. Employees were treated to apple pie and fresh whipped cream for dessert. At the end, all food waste was composted by TuftsRecycles! interns. The event netted five bags of food waste as well as two bags each paper and glass/metal/plastic recycling and virtually no trash!
Vice President for Operations Linda Snyder said a few words to commemorate the year. She thanked members of individual departments within Operations, the Winter 2015 snow removal team as a whole, and Public Safety as a whole, noting the high amount of student activism in the spring semester.
Overall a merry time was had by all! Cheers to all for their hard work in 2015 and here’s to a busy 2016!
